Installing your AI-Ready files on Hostinger
Last updated 19 September 2026
Hostinger gives you the site’s root directory directly, so every file in your kit installs the same way: upload it, then open it in a browser to confirm it is there.
robots.txt
Files: robots.txt
This is the file that tells search engines and AI crawlers which parts of your site they may read.
- In hPanel, open File Manager under Files, then go into the public_html folder.
- If robots.txt already exists there, open and replace its contents; if not, click New File, name it robots.txt, and place it directly in public_html.
- Paste in the file we sent and save.
sitemap.xml
Files: sitemap.xml
This lists your pages so crawlers can find them without guessing.
- In hPanel's File Manager, open public_html the same way as for robots.txt.
- Create or replace sitemap.xml there with the contents of the file we sent.
llms.txt and llms-full.txt
Files: llms.txt, llms-full.txt
These give AI systems a short plain-text map of your site and a fuller copy of its content, in the format they read fastest.
- In hPanel's File Manager, add llms.txt and llms-full.txt to public_html, alongside robots.txt.
- Load yourdomain.com/llms.txt and yourdomain.com/llms-full.txt afterward to confirm both are reachable.
The For-AI page
Files: for-ai.txt
This page states plainly what your business does and how to reach it, written for an AI system reading in one pass rather than a person browsing.
- If the site is a CMS such as WordPress running on Hostinger, add the page the way that CMS normally adds pages — see the WordPress guide.
- If it's a static site, create a folder named for-ai in public_html with an index.html file inside it holding the content of for-ai.txt converted to HTML; ask us for the HTML version if converting it by hand isn't practical.
The identity block
Files: organization.jsonld
This is the structured data that tells search engines and AI systems unambiguously who you are — the same job a business card does for a person.
- If the site runs WordPress, follow the WordPress guide's identity-block steps instead.
- If it's a static site, open the homepage's HTML file in File Manager's code editor and paste the contents of organization.jsonld inside a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag, just before the closing </head> tag.
When you are finished
Open the verification link in the email that came with your kit. We re-scan the site and send back a one-page sheet listing every file, whether it is live, and what moved. It lands in your inbox by the next morning.
If you never click it, we run the same check thirty days after delivery and send the sheet anyway. Nothing about the install expires, and nothing here needs a developer on standby.
For anything this guide does not cover, Hostinger’s own documentation is here: How to Block Search Engines Using robots.txt disallow Rule.
