AI search audit: will ChatGPT and Google's AI quote your website?
Last updated 7 October 2026
People now ask an assistant before they open a search result. This audit tells you whether the assistant can reach your site, read it without running JavaScript, tell who you are, and lift a passage worth quoting. You get a separate 0 to 100 score for it, and the fixes in order.
What is an AI search audit?
An AI search audit checks whether assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI features can reach your website, read it, work out who you are and lift a passage to quote. It is also called a GEO or AEO audit. Ours scores that on its own 0 to 100 scale.
Take a diner who asks for a halal table for six on Sunday and wants to book on WhatsApp. To answer, the menu, the hours and the booking route must sit in the page the assistant fetched. If they only appear after a script runs, the assistant may never see them. What an AI agent can read on your website shows what an agent actually receives.
What does AIqSight check for AI visibility?
34 checks feed the AI Visibility score, in the categories below. Each has a published weight, and every finding comes with its evidence. The table is generated from the live rubric, so it cannot say anything the scorer does not do. The full list is on How we score.
| Category | Weight | The question it asks |
|---|---|---|
| Answer extractability | 20 | Does each question heading get a direct answer an assistant can lift whole? |
| Structured data | 16 | Does the page state in markup what it is, who runs it and what it sells? |
| Fact density and original data | 14 | Are there figures and outside sources to quote, or only adjectives? |
| AI crawler access | 12 | Are the AI search and citation crawlers allowed in, and is the Google split right? See Which AI crawlers to allow. |
| Rendering without JavaScript | 10 | Is the text, the headings and the links there before a script runs? |
| Entity and knowledge graph | 10 | Is the business one named entity, linked to records kept elsewhere? |
| Authority and trust | 9 | Is there an author, an identifiable business, published policies and a real contact route? |
| Freshness | 6 | Do visible dates and markup dates agree, and is anything stale? |
| Images and media | 3 | Do images carry alt text a machine can use? |
| llms.txt | reported, not scored | Is it present, well formed and consistent with the pages? Checked and reported; see Do you need an llms.txt?. |
How is it different from an SEO audit?
A Search SEO audit asks whether Google can crawl, index and rank your pages. An AI search audit asks whether an assistant can read, trust and quote them. The two overlap on crawling and structure, then split. AIqSight reports two scores and never blends them, so a strong one cannot hide a weak one.
A site can do well on one and badly on the other: a page that ranks can still be an empty shell to a reader that does not run JavaScript. That is why the scan reports both, and why the free scan shows both.
What do I get, and what does it cost?
The Dual-Score Audit is HK$2,800 · S$460 · US$365, delivered within 3 business days. It contains:
- Search and AI scores, with the breakdown by category
- Every finding with its evidence

- The full rubric in an appendix
If you want the fixes made rather than listed, AI-Ready is HK$6,800 · S$1,100 · US$880, delivered within 10 business days of the access we need: We make your site readable and quotable by AI: the rules AI crawlers read, your llms.txt, identity links, answer-ready text on eight pages, then a re-scan to prove it.
Can you promise AI assistants will cite my site?
No. Nobody outside the AI companies controls what an assistant cites, and answers vary by question and by day. We fix what is in the way: access, readable content, identity, quotable passages. Then we re-scan, so each fix is proved, not assumed.
